Gender and Development for Cambodia (GADC), in partnership with the Well Being Advancement Organization (WELL), organized the second training session on “Climate-Resilient Poultry Farming Practices.” The workshop brought together 18 couples participating in the project to learn sustainable agricultural skills and engage in hands-on practice.

Key highlights of the training included:

• Climate-Resilient Poultry Farming: Building standard poultry coops, preventing diseases, and improving poultry health management.

• Smart Feed Formulation: Producing cost-effective poultry feed using readily available local resources.

• Mushroom Cultivation: Learning mushroom cultivation techniques and hearing practical experiences shared by skilled participants to encourage additional income-generating opportunities

• Stronger Partnerships: Encouraging husbands and wives to share decision-making and manage family agricultural activities together as a team.

“This training introduced me to about 70% new knowledge that I can apply immediately. I now feel confident in building a standard poultry coop to improve the health of my chickens.”
