Thmor Da Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province:
In early September 2025, Gender and Development for Cambodia (GADC) led a humanitarian assistance initiative for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Thmor Da Commune, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province–one of its target areas.
This humanitarian aid was provided to IDPs with the most urgent needs, prioritizing female-headed households with many children, elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and military families. A total of 101 individuals (61 women and 40 men) received support.
The distribution process strictly adhered to core humanitarian principles, including respect for dignity, prioritization of safety, and empowerment of recipients. Humanitarian aid focused on four key areas: material relief, social support, psychological support, and cash assistance.
This humanitarian response was supported by Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) under the project “Hope at the Border – Rapid Humanitarian Response for Internally Displaced Peoples affected by Cambodia-Thai border conflict” and GADC’s budget.
